  • my observations: They performed here in 2022.  Technical proficiency is high.  Their management specifically asked to have the 4 PC band with Tod Dickow return to LJS. Fusion heads who are really into Michael Brecker really dig it (because that's all they do). To me, it was more like a tribute band.  My beef isn't about their competency at all -- it's about:

    • their super-aggressive management. I'll suggest this allows them to capture gigs from less-well-known but equally (or more) deserving contenders (winner-take-all)

    • Jon Krosnick insisted that I remove our house drums on the spot so he could load in his large fusion kit.

    • The energy level was too high for my taste throughout the concert.

    • Most importantly, Jon blamed our website for his poor showing (only 7 attended), which was off-putting to me. Afterwards, I felt like it had been a mistake to book them. They are very busy -- booked everywhere in every season, and often touring abroad. Average in-person attendance for 2022 was ~18, so their draw was significantly below-average.  Most other groups drew better.
