• My Observations: I played with Sylvia 40+ years ago at Mark Levine’s apartment. She was up-and-coming then (working at Aebersold clinics), but not anywhere near the phenom she is today. She has a good lineup of old and young musicians doing engaging modern mainstream originals. She is splitting her time between NYC and the Bay Area, so even though lining up a slot for the whole band could be tricky, it may be easier than with other groups because she is from San Jose and brings her group here often…
