• My observations: The guitar trio clip is great straight-ahead contemporary jazz. The solo piano clip is avant-garde jazz/classical.  Both the guitarist and the pianist seem to have plenty of acclaim in their respective domains, but the puzzling thing is: how could the avant-garde pianist possibly fit with the straight-ahead trio? You’d think if he could play along with straight-ahead cats, he would present some material showing him doing just that. I think they are Florida-based, so the logistics of lining up a slot that coincides with a planned tour are somewhat daunting.
