Svetlana is an award-winning and chart-topping vocalist, bandleader, songwriter, and educator. Blending swing, straight-ahead jazz, and original material, she forges deep connections with audiences through her charismatic vocals and profound connection with her band and audiences. Svetlana’s vocal ability has been widely praised by press outlets. Wall Street Journal called her “Energetic”. The Aquarian Weekly declared her to have a “once-in-a-lifetime voice.” New York Music Daily called her music “lustrous” and “dynamic.” "It seems impossible that an artist could make music sound this effortless and delicate, sincere, and ethereal,” PopMatters noted, “and yet Svetlana [does] just that.” Time Out New York calls her “NYC darling” regularly, including her concerts in ‘editor picks’ lists. Svetlana toured in the US and internationally, headlining hundreds of sold-out shows in premier clubs, theaters, and festivals. All the while, she accumulated over 1.5 million streams on Spotify and other digital platforms, and over 30K social media followers. To date, Svetlana has recorded three critically acclaimed albums, including a No. 1 US Traditional Jazz Billboard Album (Night at the Movies, 2019, Independent). Svetlana is the recipient of awards from SouthArts, Chamber Music America, and New Music USA.
